Greatest accomplish:  OHBIS under judge Mrs. Barbara Alderman and getting an invite to Orlando
Is this your first time attending? If not, how many times have you been? This is our first time attending the NOHS finals
Something interesting about us: Crash is my first show dog and has been solely handled by me.

 

 

Name of handler and dog: John W. Flora & Banjo (MBISS GCHB Delphi’s Dueling Banjos)

Breed attending with: Boston Terrier, Year end ranking: #1
Greatest accomplishments or moment of pride: First in the variety group in Cheyenne – my very first trip to the Best in Show ring.
Is this your first time attending? If not, how many times have you been? No, this is John’s 5th time. Banjo’s first.
What is something interesting about you and your dog as an owner handler? Before getting into dogs, I taught a form of ballroom dancing for over thirty years. Dolores & I frequently refer to the training and practicing I do with the dogs as “learning our dance”, and it’s a good analogy. Every dog learns differently .. needs different things from me .. and responds differently. As a result, I learn something from each of them.

Greatest accomplishments or moment of pride: NOHSBIS at the 2021 AKC National Championships! He also has 3 Best in Shows, 5 Reserve Best in Shows, 2 Specialty BIS, 12 NOHS BIS and 3 NOHS RBIS
Is this your first time attending? If not, how many times have you been? This will be our 3rd year attending
What is something interesting about you and your dog as an owner handler? Captain is Chief Dog at CuraCore VET. He helps to teach medical acupuncture and massage to veterinarians from the US and around the world.

Name:  Lynn Mullen and Blush (IntCH CH Nevars Be Loving Temerity FDC SWN RATNX CGCA CGCU TKN ATT VHMA VHMP VSWB RATI TL-II UL-II SD-I)

Breed attending with:  German Pinscher
Year end ranking:  #6 overall, #1 bitch
Greatest accomplishments or moment of pride:  I am a true novice conformation handler, with a strong background in performance events.  It was a steep learning curve for me to figure out the sport of conformation, and we had a lot of struggles along the way.  We worked really hard, and had some excellent mentors helping and cheering for us!  Blush finished her Championship with her first BOB win – a third major over top-ranked specials.  It was the cherry on top of an incredible journey to our championship!  We are so excited to debut as a Special in Orlando this year.

What is something interesting about you and your dog as an owner handler?  We have traveled over 25,000 miles by car in 2022 to compete in both conformation and performance events.  It was an incredible year!

Greatest accomplishment or moment of pride:He won BOB,  Best Bred-by ,BOBOH, Place Group 4th last AKC National Championship 2021. # 8 Breed and # 8 all Breed 2021. This year he is #11  toy Breed 2022 to date.
Is this your first time attending? This will be our 2nd time going
What is something interesting about you and your dog as an owner handler? He achieved his level of success even though he never shown on Sunday.

Name: Janet Oatney
Home State: Oregon
Breed: German Pinscher
NOHS Year End Ranking: #1 NOHS GP
Greatest accomplishment or moment of pride: Artemus is the vision I had 15+ years ago when I started breeding German Pinschers – Type, personality, health, and athleticism.  I stayed true to my vision, despite ups and downs, and set the goal of #1 at the start of the season, with two best in specialties show awards and ranked #3 breed, and #4 all breed as icing on the cake.

Greatest accomplishment or moment of pride: Every time we go into the ring is a source of pride for me. He just lights up getting the one on one focus from his mom. He is my first Stafford and my first owner handled dog.
Is this your first time attending? This is my first time attending and I’m thrilled to be going!
What is something interesting about you and your dog as an owner handler? Lefty is just a natural. He really shows himself as long as there is plenty of bait!  He has me very well trained as a bait vending machine!

Is this your first time attending? 2nd time qualifying
Greatest accomplishment or moment of pride: He was my fist show dog that as a rookie, I put his championship on in 18 month ( due to COVID a shutdown) he also has his grand championship as well, that I 90%put myself , working as a nurse during COVID…. Showing dogs was my outlet!!!

Greatest accomplishments or moment of pride: Winning BOB at the AKC National Championship in 2020 and BOS at the Westminster Kennel Club 2021

What is something interesting about you and your dog as an owner handler? We also enjoy dock diving. Bode has completed his Dock Senior and Dock Master titles.
