Westminster 2022 Update

By Jessica Freni

HBO’s new series “The Gilded Age” won’t be the only filming taking place at Lyndhurst Mansion as Westminster Kennel Club is returning for a second run at these historic grounds!

After Covid (again) forced WKC off the Piers and out of Madison Square Garden in January, there was much uncertainty and speculation about where the show would be postponed to and when. Today, February 1st we have answers. WKC 2022 will be held on June 18-22, 2022, at the Lyndhurst Estate in Tarrytown, NY.

What we know

Who: “ALL entries accepted for the January 2022 show will be given “INVITED” status for the purpose of entering the rescheduled show and will be mailed invitations to the new show once set.  ALL previously invited entrants who did not enter the January show, will be invited to enter the rescheduled show (conformation and juniors)

There will be no change in the respective Qualifying Period of October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021. Following the processing of all prior invitees who submit valid entries, additional entries will be accepted until the show limit is reached.” (per Westminsterkennelclub.org)
